David L. Fuentes is a compassionate and dynamic leader with over a decade of experience in community development, pastoral ministry, and youth programming. Most recently serving as Pastor of West New Bern Presbyterian Church in North Carolina, David led the transformation
of a traditional congregation into a vibrant, multicultural, and intergenerational community. His creative leadership launched a thriving children and youth program, expanded congregational
engagement, and secured grant funding for a multigenerational community garden.

Previously, David served as Family and Youth Director at Oakhurst Presbyterian Church in Decatur, Georgia, where he developed an intercultural youth ministry and organized mission trips, retreats, and collaborative youth events. With a background in social services, he has also
worked with children and adolescents with behavioral disabilities, developing programs that support both families and schools.

David holds a Master of Divinity from Columbia Theological Seminary, where he received the Youth Ministry Award, and a B.A. in Psychology from Piedmont College. His leadership extends beyond the church through past roles on nonprofit boards, including Camp Albemarle and the
Craven County Disaster Recovery Alliance, where he provided frontline support during disaster recovery efforts.

A passionate advocate for intercultural community-building, David brings a unique blend of pastoral care, program development, and social engagement to every role he undertakes. He is also an avid gardener, pickleball and tennis player, and lifelong soccer enthusiast.
