The
Rev. Brett Webb-Mitchell is a pastor, author, and parent. With
a Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy/Music Ed., M.Div. from Princeton
Seminary, Th.M. from Harvard University, Ph.D. from UNC-CH, teaching
for over a decade at Duke Divinity School, Rev. Webb-Mitchell
has been an ordained clergyperson in the Presbyterian Church for
almost 25 years, having served churches as pastor or interim pastor
in Massachusetts, Washington, Florida, and North Carolina.
Brett
has participated in being the consultant and writer of the new
policy of the Presbyterian Church (USA) in regards to the place
and presence of people with disabilities in the church, and represented
the Church with both the National Council of Churches of Christ
and World Council of Churches committees on disability concerns.
He has also been awarded the Duke Humanitarian of the Year award
(1999) and Pool of Bethesda Award (2000) from Bethesda Lutheran
Homes because of his work with people with disabilities.

Webb-Mitchell is a proud parent of two amazing children: Adrianne,
who attends Warren Wilson College, and Parker, a rising sophomore
in high school in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro area.
